Aiguille du midi Tandem
A magnificent flight for the more adventurous, come experience the blend of paragliding and mountaineering.

We meet at the Aiguille du Midi cable car departure point. From there, we take the cable car up to the intermediate station, and then continue to the summit of Aiguille du Midi at 3,842 meters.
From the summit of Aiguille du Midi, accompanied by a high-mountain guide, you will be equipped with crampons and an ice axe to descend the ridge of the Aiguille du Midi (approximately 30 minutes).
Once you've descended the ridge, you'll arrive at the paragliding takeoff point at an altitude of about 3,600 meters. From here, the guide will leave you with your paragliding instructor. The view from the Glacier du Géant is exceptional, and it's from here that we will take off, surrounded by towering, breathtaking peaks.
Allow approximately 2 hours and half in total for this activity.
Two flight routes are available to you, depending on the aerological conditions:
- North Takeoff: This offers a breathtaking view of the north face of the Aiguilles de Chamonix and the stunning cable car of Aiguille du Midi. You will also see the Mallory Glacier, the Bossons Glacier, and many other wonders.
- South Takeoff: This gives you a view of the south face of the Aiguilles de Chamonix and the Mer de Glace. You will fly over the Glacier du Géant, with the Grandes Jorasses, the Dent du Géant, and much more as your backdrop. The flight ends with a gradual return to Chamonix, flying over the Montenvers station.
This flight is a breathtaking experience, offering a total immersion in the heart of the glaciers, peaks, and treasures of the Mont Blanc massif. These places, inaccessible on foot, will be within reach for you by paraglider.
The opening periods for the Aiguille du Midi takeoff are:
-Winter / Spring: December 21 to June 31
-Autumn: September 1 to November 2
Outside of these periods, we recommend booking a flight at the Planpraz site.
